Texas Artist of the Year
Few artists have done as much as Woodrow Foster to record the changing appearance of rural East Texas.
To preserve this fading era, artist Woodrow Foster has spent years exploring the land and sketching abandoned farmhouses, rotting barns and quiet country lanes ... the places where early East Texans left their mark.
Woodrow Fosters's paintings and sketches, based largely on actual places in the East Texas pineywoods hang in the homes and offices of some of Texas' most distinguished citizens.
The finest prints in Texas
As a country neighbor of Woodrow's for the better part of 50 years, Melba knows the history and significance of all the prints she sells.
Four original paintings have been reproduced. These paintings were painted in the 1960's to 1980's. 1,000 of each print have been available now for some 20 years, and still are if you can locate them. All four are available and for sale.
The original paintings are not for sale. All of them are in Woodrow's living room, other than "The Eggs". That original hangs in the capital in Austin.
There is also a Woodrow Foster print exclusive to Mebla's Art with very limited reproduction.
